2020 shaping up to be a busy year for Michael Connelly

The bestselling author will publish two more novels and see the debut of a second TV series based on his work next year.

I know you guys probably won't tell us, but can we count on an appearance from Rachel Walling in the Jack McEvoy book?

Vance--I don't know yet. Michael is still writing it.

Oh. I've never been involved in the book writing process. I don't know the time frames involved between when it goes into editing vs. the publication date.
I assumed the May one was in the edit process already. Well, let us know when you're allowed to say.
Thanks for the reply!

Jane - you'll let us know when other format options are available for Fair Warning pre-order like you did with Night Fire, right?
I want to wait for a signed copy before I pre-order if Mr. Connelly chooses to make those available.

I am over the moon to hear that Jack McEvoy is coming back!
I remember asking Michael about bringing Jack back while at the Poisoned Pen book signing for 5th Witness in 2011.
Good things come to those who wait!

I also hear that Lincoln Lawyer is coming to CBS in the fall. That is great news!!!
Will  current contractual obligations permit Harry Bosch to occasionally appear on Lincoln Lawyer, and vice versa with Mickey Haller on Bosch?

As for Rachel Walling appearing in Fair Warning, this may be a good sign.

In this link to a list of all of MC's books, Fair Warning is listed as one of Rachel Walling's books.  (Scroll down on this link.)

Good eye, Jeannie!
It appears that Jane likes to leave us little clues through the website to see who is paying attention.
Thanks for sharing!

What? Clues? What clues? What?

Well, gee, #FDR said “We’ve Nothing to Fear but Fear itself,” but this “FOMO” (ref. #MaddieBosch in #TheNightFire) I’m now feeling’s No joke!

Here is a great article about the upcoming CBS TV series, Lincoln Lawyer.  It is being developed by David Kelley, one of the best TV writers and producers responsible for The Practice, LA Law, Ally McBeal and Boston Legal.

This should be great!

My fingers are crossed that these series will do justice to the books. The Bosch TV series did not age well at all IMO.

I will be very sorry to see Bosch end.
Yes, I had envisioned Bosch a bit differently than how he was portrayed, but IMO the show has done great justice to the source material, and its portrayal of the other main character, LA itself, has vividly excelled.

I just made the disappointing discovery that CBS has backed out of doing the Lincoln Lawyer later this year.  I suspect it's because of the virus.  I sure hope it gets picked up because with the likes of David E. Kelley at the helm, it should be a fantastic series.

My latest "fingers-crossed" energy is directed toward seeing Fair Warning produced as a film.  I can see Netflix producing it, introducing it on the big screen, and then using it to attract more subscribers.
