Why did Earl have to die? He was part of the family. Very saddened that we lost him!

Mickey was playing a very dangerous game.  There had to be consequences.  A professional driver/bodyguard might have prevented this from happening.  Still, this was all Mickey's fault and he will live with this guilt forever.

I only want to reply on something i saw in the in the gods of guilt. You cant make soundbangs with a B2 bomber its maximum speed is 1100 km/h.

Usually when an author "kills off" a main character like Earl Briggs it opens new options toward the book's conclusion.
I see absolutely no redeeming point to Earl's exit.
