I have just finished reading The Fifth Witness.   I found this book really enjoyable,  well written and was looking forward to giving it a 5 star rating on facebook,  UNTIL THE LAST CHAPTER!. Why, why, why  did Mr Connelly feel the need to add such a corny cliché'd  final twist.  Until this point all issues had been wrapped up nicely and all he had to do was let the reader know, was Lisa found guilty or not guilty.  This is the sort of writing I would expect from a lower quality author and I now have many questions which quite frankly I cannot be bothered to ask.
