SPOILER FOR THE LINCOLN LAWYER

I just literally finished reading "The Lincoln Lawyer" this was my first book of the Michael Connelly. I'm proud to say that i'll be reading more of his books from now on. After first picking up the book, it was a non stop reader. I can only imagine what his other books are like.

Well I have a quick question, I'm not sure if I just totally blew by the book and missed something, but as I coming to the last chapter of the book, I just realized one thing.....there was no solution if Roulet actually raped Reggie Campo. It just resolves who killed Levin and the real killer of Martha Renteria.

Again, i'm not sure if my reading of this book was just a totally different experience than others (then again everyone reads differently) and I just missed it because I was so caught up in another setting of the book, but did I really miss the resolution of what got Roulet in jail in the first place?

Can someone please clear this up for me, not that it has true meaning to the book, but i'm really curious to know if Roulet actually raped Reggie Campo or was he really set up?

It was as Reggie described it. She was attacked by him but fought him off and knocked him out. She was telling the truth.

So if i'm not mistaken, Roulet did attack her? After Roulet made it so convincing that he didn't do it and repeatedly say he didn't do it. Sorry if i'm being weird about this, but I find it odd that Roulet didn't fess up to it and tell Haller that he did it.

He did fess up eventually. But not in the beginning.

Hello, I'm a student from Malaysia, currently studying the novel, The Lincoln Lawyer for my literature class. I'm brainstorming the main ideas of the novel and I got confused by Roulet action, attacks Reggie Campo and Martha Rentheria. I just want to ask, does Roulet has some sort of mental or personality disorder or what? Why he attacks prostitutes and the pattern of the attacks are the same?
