Just heard that James Mangold has been hired to direct THE DEEP BLUE GOOD-BY from the script by Dennis Lehane.  The project is definitely moving forward now, although they need a new Travis McGee, because Leo DiCaprio has too many projects lined up and they don't want to wait.  Mangold has directed some great movies like Copland, Girl, Interrupted, Walk the Line and 3:10 to Yuma.  He also directed the latest Wolverine movie from last summer, which was better than you might expect.

The Wolverine movie is the only one on the list that I liked ...  It was better than expected but not as good as all the previous X-Men movies ... I enjoy MacDonald's books so I will probably go to see it ... Maybe it will be DTV ?
